Writer’s Block: The inability to form coherent and witty sentences. Getting stuck with sub-par phrasing. Writing like a simpleton or not writing at all.

 

A friend once asked: “why is it that writers are the only people who constantly experience writer’s block?” Well, it’s not that writers are the only ones who experience the dreaded writer’s block, it’s just that writers tend to take that “literary pause” personally. “I Hate My Job!”: Tips on How to Cope with Job Angst

Work burnout happens when you’re no longer happy with what you’re doing. It could be your officemates, the stress of the job, or your overbearing boss that’s making you want to crawl back into bed every Monday morning and wait for Saturday to emerge again.

Going to a job which you hate is never an easy thing. You’re probably having that dream sequence of smashing every single computer in the office into tiny bits while your boss gives you instructions. For some people, a personal favorite would be imagining the boss’s head swelling to the size of a watermelon before exploding. Or you can pull an Ally McBeal and dance with imaginary baby cupids in diapers.

If you’re like most people who hate their jobs, you’re simply waiting for a better deal that’s going to come along. The fact is, your job helps you pay your bills. If you ever feel like you’re the only person in the world who has had dreams of becoming an Indie artist or living the bohemian lifestyle, then you would be wrong. But just like you, other bohemians-at-heart, have responsibilities to take care of and bills to pay.

On Dealing With Office Drama: Keeping Your Cool in the Workplace

Before anything else, apologies for the late post. Lauren and I had a three-day hiatus riddled with office drama. Not a great way to start a week, obviously. But apart from the colds and the dampened social lives because of the storm, no pun intended, things are pretty much back to normal. Anyways, on with the article. ^^

In every workplace, there’s the office “bitch”, “witch”, OR “drama queen.” She craves for attention, and she gets it by speaking extra-loud, creating nasty little rumors or simply just “bitching out”, especially against other girls. She picks her targets carefully. Most of the time, she picks on the people who she thinks won’t fight back. She has her “minions”, who can be as equally annoying as she is. Birds of the same feather, have the same attitude problem.
